“ I would like to note that there is no magic pill that, if taken, will protect you from stroke, ” Olga Lisenkova warned. – Because there are many reasons for the occurrence of this disease. In order not to be at risk, you need to adhere to a healthy lifestyle.

The doctor explained that you need to start eating right: remove fast carbohydrates from your diet, eat plenty of high-quality animal fats, such as butter, ghee, meat, fish. Also don't forget about vegetables and fruits. In addition, Olga Lisenkova said that we need to get rid of bad habits and engage in more physical activity.

“ If we talk about vitamins and supplements, then B vitamins – B9, B12 and B6 – can help reduce the risk of stroke,” the doctor added. “They help reduce the amount of homocysteine, a toxic amino acid that in large quantities damages the inner wall of blood vessels. As a result, cholesterol comes to this place to “close” these holes.

The specialist also recommended drinking more water during the day, because it helps remove excess toxins from the body and generally contributes to the health of the body.
